Print Patron ID cards
You can print identification cards to be carried by patrons, Rolodex/rotary cards to be kept at the circulation desk, or 3″ × 5″ cards to be kept in a file drawer.
Each card can include the following information:
- Patron’s name
- Patron’s picture
- Scannable barcode
- Barcode number
- Up to three of the 11 listed fields
- School name (if you selected the Avery ID Card [5361] or the Avery Large Rotary [5386] card)
You can also export the data to Microsoft Excel.

To print patron ID cards:
- Select Reports > Patron Reports.
- Under Labels/Cards, click Patron ID Cards. The report setup page appears.
- Use the following table to fill in the fields:FieldDescriptionForNote: This drop-down only appears at the district level.Select a school from the list.Select bySelect a method for identifying the patrons.
- To specify a range, select Nameor Grade LevelNote: You can limit to one name or grade level or a range.
- All names or grade level: Leave both fields blank.
- One name or grade level: Enter the same name or grade level in both fields.
- Up to and including a specific name or grade level: Leave the first field blank, and enter a name or grade level in the to field.
- A specific name or grade level and all those after it: Enter the name or grade level in the first field, and leave the to field blank.
- To include a range of homerooms, select Homeroom. Then, choose the homerooms from the From and to drop-downs, or leave one or both at Any Homeroom.
Only homerooms that patrons are currently assigned to appear in the lists. - To use a list of barcode numbers, select Barcode List. You can either browse to an existing file, or create a list here.
- To select an existing file, click Browse to find your file.
- To create a list, place the cursor in the Create a barcode list field and scan the barcodes, or type them and click Add.
- To remove a barcode number from the list, select it, and click Remove.

- Select the output:If you want to…Then…Print on labels
- Select Use label stock.
- Use the drop-down to choose one of the preloaded label stocks.Note: Stock from other vendors may not work as well. Make sure to print a test page on plain paper.
- To continue using partially-used label sheets, enter the number of the next available label in the Start on label field.
- If necessary, set the printer offsets to fine-tune the printing alignment on the barcode labels.
- Click Run Report.
- When the Report Manager opens, click View. The report opens in a browser.

- Position the label stock in your printer.

- Scale at 100%.
- Print on one side.
