Update Patrons Job Summary: Review common exceptions
Destiny displays messages in the Update Patrons Job Summary when an invalid record or invalid fields in a record have been skipped, or when Destiny has entered default values into blank fields to allow a record to be saved.
Below are the common messages encountered in the Job Summary, an explanation of the message, and recommendations to resolve each issue. To see the explanation and resolution, click the message.

Access level was not specified; using the default.
Access level (<Access Level>) was unknown; using the default.
Resource Group was not specified; using the default.
Barcode “<barcode>” already exists at target site.
Barcode is required for all patrons; Barcode was blank.
Barcode is required for all patrons; Barcode was blank; ignored.
Birth Date invalid; field left untouched.
Card Expiration invalid; field left untouched.
Duplicates another patron’s user name ‘<username>’.

Gender was blank or invalid; set to Unspecified.
Graduation Year invalid; field left blank.
Invalid Teaching Status. Expecting “True” or “False”. Teaching status was not changed.
Last name is required for all patrons; Last name was blank; ignored.
Last name is required for all patrons; Last name was missing.
No barcode match criteria specified
No site short name match criteria specified.
Patron’s new barcode ‘<barcode>’ is already assigned to another patron.
Patron Type was blank; used the default (<default site patron type>).
Site short name ‘<site short name>’ does not exist.
Status was blank or unknown; set to Active.
Unable to match using District ID; District ID ‘ ‘ exceeds maximum length of 40 characters.
Unable to transfer patron between media sites / non-media sites.
Patron XML records read must be between 0 and 999,999.
Number of days before inactivating patrons must be between 0 and 999.
The Inactivate patrons option must be enabled to set the Homeroom to Undefined.
Number of days before deleting patrons must be between 0 and 999.
The fine balance value is invalid.
Number of days before deleting patrons with outstanding transactions must be between 0 and 999.
Age for deleting patrons with outstanding transactions must be between 0 and 99.
