Create an RDA-compliant record (Easy Editor)
The RDA Types tab only appears when RDA (Resource Description and Access) is the preferred descriptive cataloging form. Changing the preferred descriptive cataloging form to RDA happens at the district level.
To create an RDA-compliant title record in the Easy Editor:
- Select Catalog > Add Title.
- Find the title you want, and then click Details; otherwise, click Add the Title.
- Click the Brief Title tab.
- Select the appropriate Material Type and, if applicable, the Subtype.
- Complete other fields as needed.
- Click the RDA Types tab.
- Add as many of each type as is needed to describe the item.
- When you are done, click Save Title.
