Create a username and password

Your school may allow you to create your own user name and password in Destiny Admin.

To create an account, you need to have:

• A patron record in Destiny
• The Able to create own login and modify password permission
• A Destiny barcode

After you create your account, you can log in to Destiny Back Office and Destiny Discover.

To create an account:

1. Select your site, and click Log In.
2. On the Login page, click Create Account.
3. Enter your last name and barcode number, and then click Next.
4. If you have a birth date in your account, Destiny prompts you to enter it next. Select the month, day and year, and click Next.
5. Enter your user name and a password, and in the Confirm Password field, enter the password again.
   If you do not have an email address on file already, you can add it.
   Note: Follow general best practices, like using a unique user name and strong password.
6. When you are done, click Save.
   Note: If you already have a user name in your account, the Patron account already exists message appears. In this case, an administrator will have to update your user name and password for you.

Destiny automatically logs you in with your new user name and password.
